BCAM2024 - Day 6

We escaped the compound and drove southwest to the garden city of Toowoomba.

First time for Martin as well. It’s been a scorcher of a day but I would rather heat than cold.

We arrived, dropped off our bags in our room and headed straight out to Queen’s Park which is right beside our hotel.

We enjoyed a few hours there taking in all the gorgeous flowers, plenty of pink to choose from. These foxgloves were just majestic, and in so many shades of pink.

There was beauty everywhere. And the trees were tall and proud, We also visited the Cobb & Co. museum which was an added bonus and a bit of respite from the heat with its excellent air conditioning.

Had a bit of a rest back at the hotel before heading out to Picnic Point lookout to see if we could catch the sunset.

Then back to Margaret Street to take in the atmosphere and watch the NRL Grand Final between the Storms and Panthers. The Panthers were in their pink jerseys, how convenient for BCAM.

Been an absolutely wonderful day. And Martin was able to enjoy it all with his clearer vision.
