Acorn House and Gardens

Last day of our holiday and still baking hot. Spent the day pottering about in the Eden Valley area. In many ways I prefer Cumbria to the Lakes - its a bit quieter and less touristy somehow which suits me better.
Visited Kirkby Stephen and ended up at this NT property which has a large orchard and herb garden but more important for our purposes a shady tea room. Nice relaxing way to end the holiday before heading home up the M6 tomorrow.
