Puglia

My adventure has started marvellously.

We were welcomed back on the ship and quite a few crew recognised us. It’s a totally different crowd visiting Puglia and Sicily from the people we shared the Scottish Islands adventure with.

This morning, Alberobello, increasingly crowded and touristy and we were glad to be there early. It’s losing its charm. (Extra)

The afternoon visit was to Monopoli, where the Island Sky is docked. It was magnificent. Wonderful historic buildings, including lots of churches, a monastery and the cathedral. But I was most charmed by the old port which is my main blip. Definitely a place with a buzz so please add it to your list.
