A wander at Lyde (Day 3437)
The day started with a trip to town for the weekly shop. Back home, after unloading I did a few things round the house then sorted out a pile of tools I thought I might need to deal with the broken quad bike.
Once everything was loaded up, my beautiful wife headed for Stromness. HV did hoss stuff while I got stuck in to getting the broken track rod end off the quad. The most sweaty (difficult) part was removing the split pin from the end of the bolt so I could undo it. Luckily the old quad has the same track rods and I was able to "borrow" the appropriate track rod end from it. It all went surprisingly well and, despite having never changed a track rod end in my life, it didn't take too long and we were able to use the quad to get hay out.
Back home for lunch, then a wander at Lyde with HV and Sigyn. Later, while HV did admin, I sorted out the inside of my van and organised some of my stock.
