Some colour on a dull day

We actually had rain this morning, though I don't think it'll have made much difference to our fairly dry garden.
I was at church early to get the breakfast ready for Cafe Church where we had a good time of fellowship and practical worship.
I then took someone shopping before taking her home so it was fairly late by the time I was home.
A quiet afternoon and a short walk, choosing my route to get a pic of these trees which I'd passed earlier, they always have great colours in Autumn and there's more to come.
I also got a view of some work they're doing by the burn, there were surveyors earlier in the year looking at flood prevention, so I assume this is part of that work.
