Inches

Since I'm going away for four days next week, and A is still in Cyprus, the pets have to be cared for. Our usual person will be coming round to feed Kermit twice a day, but A has friends who have said that they would love to look after Django, so I took him to them. This meant a drive to the community farm north of Perth where they live.

On my way back, I stopped in Perth, having never really explored the city. Hence I got my day's exercise (and contemplated next week's talks) going round the North Inch and South Inch Parks, and back through the city centre. The Inches are different, but very attractive open spaces - and provide(d) the venue for the "Two-Inch" running race. The landscape views that I photographed were really too dull, so I was happy to come across this mural honouring local women runners and curlers, that I had heard of on Instagram. Yes, I was Turfing...

Back home, I worked solidly on my talks, breaking off to cook when I was hungry. As the rain poured all evening I was glad not to have to walk Django. Now, back to work...
