Jasper

Today I drove my mum and I to jasper husband had to stay behind and work and he looked after the dogs and my sister and her family came too in their hire car. We had planned to go with the family before it had the devastating fire. It has opened up again to we decided to go down and support the community and to enjoy the beauty that is there in the mountains. It was a bit of a shock to see it in person and had a very surreal feeling but also friendly people trying to get back on their feet. A lot of places were still closed and or damaged or destroyed. But those that were open were welcoming. We headed to the hot springs an hour from jasper after lunch. It was a nice relaxing hot spring then dinner in the hotel pub. And then bed I was tired after over 6 hours driving! We saw a grizzly in a field on the way, elk and bighorn sheep.
