Protecting The Unity Of The Local Church Body.....

It was a beautiful fall morning in Central Texas as we gathered at FBC to worship God because He is worthy of our worship and praise and we were grateful for the somewhat cooler temperatures.  We began our service with a congregational song followed by the welcome from Daniel, who then directed the choir, orchestra and our talented accompanists in a joyful presentation of an arrangement done by one of our own choir members of the hymn, "Praise The Lord,Ye Heavens Adore Him".  Following that the congregation joined in singing more songs finishing our time of praise with a song that is one of my favorites, "The Goodness Of God".  Pastor Wes directed us back into Ephesians 4:11-16, to urge us to protect the unity of the local church body as we come together with a diversity of gifts given to us by God through the Holy Spirit to grow into maturity as we pursue a life that will show Jesus to our broken world.  Pastor Wes had much more to say about what all that looks like and how it happens.  You can see it on the Live-stream which is well worth your time if you weren't able to be there in person today.
