Something Mums whip up

As it's been a weekend of spectator sport with the Open Golf at Muirfield in person yesterday and on TV today, meal planning hadn't really received a thought.

However, I still had some leftover pastry cases which I'd managed to actually get round to putting in an airtight container so they hadn't gone all soggy and soft. Strawberries are at their peak, and there was cream actually in the fridge as teenager has gone off to camp, thus increasing the possibility that there would be some for the rest of the family. Secret ingredient: lemon curd, which you whip up with the cream and pile into the cases before artfully decorating with strawberries, and brushing over some redcurrant jelly. Looked like some effort had actually gone into all this.

Sorry that Lee Westwood didn't win, but what a round Phil Michelson had. We're planning our 2015 holidays already... the Open Golf will be at St Andrews again, and we'll be there.
