We spent most of the day with the family friend of Solène's mum, Jean-Pierre. We traveled to his town, where he had booked a table for us at a little Italian restaurant. The food was brilliant, but there was so much of it that after the starter I was pretty much full. He then showed us around his little retirement home, which was like a smaller version of the Natural History Museum. Jean-Pierre has been a collector of lots of different things for the majority of his life, and had everything from fossils, to vintage cars in the garage!
