All hands to the pump ...

Smithers and I had our Covid and flu jabs at lunchtime and, so far, we’ve not experienced any unpleasant side effects. I hope I haven't spoken too soon ...

I’m heading for a massively busy spell from now on, with bulk production of packs of Christmas cards needed, and boxes of note cards (which people like to give as gifts) for my stall at our annual church sale in aid of mission on 2nd November. 

In amongst all those cards, I also have my special orders to make, like this one for my best friend who needed this for her brother and sister-in-law’s golden wedding anniversary. (Memo to self; don’t forget to make one to send them from us as well!)

On top of that, my daughter-in-law’s book is due to be published on 30th October and before that I will need to spend a lot of time editing and fine tuning the book layout in an unfamiliar software program. 

I foresee Smithers being required to do even more cooking than usual from now on, because I don’t think I will have a minute to spare …
