Give us a smile
... needed on this dismal day! It was raining again when I got up, and the low cloud descended to swathe everything in fog. There was a brief window of relative brightness in the afternoon, but then the fog closed in again. It was so gloomy and dismal that even though it isn't really cold (18C) I finally cracked and lit the fire. Having done that I was motivated to do the twice-yearly wrestling match to change the covers on the sofas to the winter ones. All ready for winter now!
S was due in on the flight from Manchester at 6:30 -- I was a bit alarmed to note that two earlier flights circled Carcassonne airport repeatedly and then were diverted to Toulouse. He wasn't too pleased when I told him this. But all was well, the fog cleared and the plane landed dead on time, roaring over my head just as I walked from car to terminal, and as usual he was first off. It was nice to get home to a glowing fire.
Blip: a neighbour's horse saying hello!
