…a bit too rude to write in public.  It starts with a 'b' and ends with a 'd' though.  A machine with a whopping big engine needs a whopping amount of current to turn it over, and this battery, I learned today, is Not Up to the Task.  Not even when brand new.  I didn't install it, it was yet another "Dow job"* by the previous owner of Madame Fidra, who deserved – and deserves – more.

It is perhaps still a mystery as to why it failed exactly, although circumstantial evidence is starting to appear.
