Normal Life
My day has alternated between a feeling of anticlimax after a fun weekend (long) away, and still savouring the buzz from my various adventures.
Certainly it was a reasonably painless Monday.
I had lunch at the church cafe - reliable and pleasant as usual, but also an anticlimax after some of the goodies I enjoyed while I was in Germany.
Surprisingly, one of the best things I ate was at the airport in Düsseldorf yesterday. I found a Turkish place (Anadolu) in the arrivals hall and was served an amazing dish of köfte and potatoes in a tomato sauce, with rice and yoghurt.
Highly recommended if you are in the vicinity and wanting a good feed.
At least I got a Blip at the church cafe as well as some lunch. Real October colours on the trees now...
For those with an interest in such things, highlights of the football match at Essen are now online.
