Warning messages

An advisory notice popped up on the car this morning about the chassis as I was driving Phin to Dalkeith but it said I could continue driving so I did. We were enjoying a rather muddy walk through the whole odd when I didn’t manage to see a pesky tree root and fell full length, landing on my knee. Poor Phin looked quite confused.

It wasn’t overly painful so we finished our walk (all 7km of it) and got back into the car. Unfortunately the journey home was most uncomfortable as it was very bouncy. However I got home and Mr PHL took the car for a short drive to see the message for himself. It didn’t reappear but he thought there might be a problem with the sensors affecting the compressor (or something like that!). The car is no longer under any BMW warranty so he called a wee garage in the city centre we used to frequent when we were still working who agreed to look at the car this afternoon,

So we set off in convoy and dropped the car off. A quick stop to pick up bread and I was finally able to get on with the things I planned to do today. They weren’t very exciting but had to be done and included ironing and making lists of things to pack. All my summer things are now affirming the spare room bed and outside if the wardrobe and I’ll whittle them down tomorrow.

We heard from the garage before dinner and they’re not able to do anything with the car as their equipment doesn’t work for our model of car. So it’s been booked into the dealership for the day after we get back from Majorca.

I managed to change the airport parking booking to refer to our other car which is currently up for sale but fortunately has not yet sold.

I managed to complete the Estas for our visit to New York in November so that’s something ticked off for that trip.
