Year of sorrow

The hostages have been held for a year. Hamas has not released them and Israel is still attacking. Two still-believed-to-be-alive are children. 

I am posting early because I am seeing a friend for dinner. 

This little guy is still at the fire hydrant looking very chill. 

Yesterday was Putin’s birthday. Today Ukraine blew up the largest oil refinery and depot in Crimea. Happy birthday. 


A Ukraine cyberattack took down online broadcasts of Russian state television and radio channels today. At least 20 Russian broadcasters were affected. Happy birthday. 


Putin supposedly is reluctant to visit his summer retreat because he is afraid of Ukrainian drones. Happy birthday. “Putin’s palace” supposedly cost $1 billion.
