Glade Creek Grist Mill
Our first stop today was at Babcock State Park to see this old grist mill. It was built here in the state park in 1976 to honor the 100s of grist mills that were once abundant on the creeks in West Virginia. It was beautiful here.
We then stopped at the New River National Park for a few photos as Lisa and Risee had not been before.
A little shopping and lunch before we started on the drive home. It should have been a 5 hour drive but instead it was 7 hours. The traffic on I77 from Statesville to Charlotte was horrendous. Road construction and wrecks! I finally got off that highway and drove on the backroads.
We were all tired but really enjoyed the trip together.
