Fire
Here we have a couple of everyday objects - a standard wine glass inside of which is a tea light. Light the tea light and put on this dinky little shade. It came to me as a flat thing that was made to be joined at the straight edges, a gift from a friend who got it on one of her many overseas trips.
The flame makes the shade glow and is reflected in the glass. The shade is illustrated with scenes from The Garden of Earthly Delights, painted by Hieronymus Bosch between 1490 and 1510. The people in the painting sure knew how to have a good time.
