Road trip...

...to Fort William and Glen Nevis today. Lots of photos taken on the road there and home and also on our walk.

Initially the trip was to try and spectate the Glen Nevis River Race but because it takes ages to persuade the Barmy Army to do anything we just missed that but ended up having a good walk at the eastern end of the Glen to the Steall falls.

The start of the walk isn't for the faint hearted..the guide books say a rocky path...it sure is that and I can see why there is a sign at the beginning of the walk warning that people have fallen to their death from the path:-/ However, we travelled with care and made it to the open meadow and then across to the Steall falls. It was a great wee walk although the fact that it was low level actually didn't mean that the effort the barmy army needed to put in was much less than they spent on their ascent of Dumyat on Thursday...think our next outing will need to be less strenuous, I only just escaped with my life yesterday...they all wanted to kill me at different points:-)

A late arrival home so an easy day tomorrow is in order:-)
