Rotorua

There is no doubt about  it, Rotorua has its own very distinctive smell….
We went to Whakarewarewa this  morning to visit a Māori village and the geo thermal landscape around it. It was fascinating seeing the steaming pools and bubbling mud and we spent quite a while looking round.
We drove back to the hotel and then headed out to the Government Gardens that are close by. Lots more spring flowers to look at and a walk around the edge of Lake Rotorua see extras.
I’ve also added a Pukeko(?) that nipped across the road to avoid a car…
