Up nice and early to head to Leicester.
Paddington and St. Pancreas were so quite at that time of the morning, it was lovely.
No dramas on the train to Leicester, apart from my window seat didn't have a window. Lol!
I was at a conference today. It was nothing exciting, but one of those you just had to show your face at. But good to catch up with some old colleagues.
The conference was taking place at Leicester rugby club and there was so much history on show, it was amazing. See some of the extras.
Had an hour to wait before my train back to London. A lady and her guide dog were escorted into the waiting room. The dog was gorgeous and so friendly, and was looking at me for attention. I asked the lady if it was ok, as I know you're not supposed to pat the dogs when they have their uniform on, but at this point she had already taken it off. So she said yes and I have the dog plenty of attention. They had been travelling from Weston-Super-Mare since the morning to get back home to Market Harborough, so she wasn't far away.
Train back to London was fine. I headed into the city centre then to visit one of my favourite bookshops and yes I did buy some books.
Got back to hotel and then grabbed a takeaway from a noodle bar to eat back in my room. It was yummy.
Today I am thankful for:
1. Seeing old colleagues
2. Having a lovely chat with the lady and her guide dog
3. Book shopping
4. Yummy noodles
