Hot tub
When J&P said they wanted to come and visit The Isle of Wight and found that Woodside Bay was available and affordable, the main attraction for me - apart from their company - was the hot tub. I know it is not unusual for people to have their own tub at home, but I think that might be too far for me. So, whenever I can visit a place with one, I do. Earlier in the year, on holiday in Spain, I thought it might be good for my shoulder. The warm bubbles didn't help that then, but it always lifts my mood whenever I see a hot tub.
J had a craving for fish and chips by the sea, so we stopped off at The Codfather and bought small portions, which we ate with a view of Ryde Pier. Then, we stopped off at the Co-op to buy the remaining ingredients for the barbecue, which P expertly prepared after we walked down to the beach and around the holiday village. The tide was in, so there wasn't much sand to walk along; we came back via a nice woodland route.
After the barbecue, we opened some Prosecco and had a little dip in the hot tub—a lovely way to end the day.
