Up on the moor

MONDAY

After a Premier Inn breakfast we had a walk into town and I had a browse around The Piece Hall. It was a lovely October morning and I was pleasantly surprised just how busy it was with lots of people sat outside enjoying coffee in the warm sunshine. For 10:00 am on a Monday the place was buzzing.

After checking out, we headed up to Norland for a walk around the moor. It used to be may favourite running spot and I know the paths (with their gullys, rocks and muddy bits) like the back of my hand. 

Then a drive over to Holmfirth and lunch outdoors at The Cheese Shop cafe before an appointment in Holmfirth and a drive back home across Saddleworth Moor to North Wales.
