Evening Lychnis

silene latifolia is a native of europe and is found in disturbed habitats such as fields, lots and roadsides.

i have been trying to get a photo of this unusual flower for many weeks, but you can tell from the name that it opens in the evenings, not while i am blipping. even though it looks dark, this was taken around noon. the plant is a bit in the woods.
