Distracting Treasures

I was just going to dust around the fireplace grate......
I opened the vent into the chimney.....
I had never done this before.

Not sure how many hours I spent removing bags of soot, dust & rubbish, but there was genuine treasure.
Cigarette packets and gin bottles, hairpins, nailbrush, scissors and ticket stubs.
A beautiful button and a very worn penny with the head of Queen Victoria on one side and 1875 on the other.
