A grand day out

We joined a trip to Cousin Island which is a protected environment where there are no predators.   As a result it is teeming with wildlife including giant tortoises.

Following this we went to Curieuse Island for a barbecue lunch.   Curieuse has a breeding program for tortoises but to be honest,  we were a little uncomfortable with the way we were encouraged to feed the tortoises with lunch left-overs.   No wonder they all crowded round us as we got off the boat.

Finally, after a swim, we headed to the pretty little St Peters Island where we went snorkelling.   This was an amazing experience with an enormous array of beautiful.fish..
