Day at a Time

This morning we set off for a trendy part of Glasgow's Southside. We are staying in a friend's flat tonight. It's so kind of her to lend it to us.

We had coffee, a walk in Queens Park and lunch at the Glad Cafe where we haven't been for many years. We used to visit this part of Glasgow when our sons lived in the vicinity but they've both long since moved.

After lunch I walked the 2 or so miles to our grand son's school for pick up time. Cameraman braved the traffic and drove. We'll drive back to the flat later and see what the evening holds before settling down for the night.

When he came out of school my grandson announced that he had done something you should never, ever do at school. I wondered what was coming but it was ok - they'd had some cake in the classroom. I noticed that his healthy snack of apple, satsuma, cucumber and tomato was still in his school bag. No wonder when cake is on offer.

I don't know why Flora is giving me such a look. Most places in this part of Glasgow are dog friendly so she's hardly being left out.
