The Guard House.

A damp and dreary day which didn't encourage going out but I took myself to Heggie's Wood for a walk.  Went as far as the remains of a World War 2 guard house marking where there was a prisoner of war camp which housed Italians and some Germans. Came home for tea and biscuits and settled on the sofa to continue re-reading Cranford. I'd forgotten quite a lot and am enjoying the humour.
