Life in Sunny Dubai

After a productive day in the flat - G clearing out the fridge and the space near the front door, and me catching up with work after a weekend, we ventured out after having dinner.

M&S in Dubai Mall was the destination. The first thing we noticed when we stepped out of the building was that it wasn't too humid—nice! Then I couldn't believe how clear the roads were. We were out of Karama in no time! Lastly, it was a beautifully clear evening—the kind of evening to go to the top of Burj Khalifa.

We browsed the delights of Level 3 of Galeries Lafayette before we got to M&S. My blip is from there. We saw some gorgeous V&B home decor items, but none had pink in them, so I got a shot of the display as we exited.

We decided to get Punjabi samosas on the way home. The local branch of the restaurant we like to get them from had run out, but their branch in Bur Dubai souk still had plenty, so we went. Once again, I couldn't believe how clear the roads were. We were home before 10 PM but could have been back sooner were it not for the challenge of parking in the old town.
