Progress?
Up early to go and collect A from her work car park to take her to a training session on the other side of town, which gave us a chance to catch up en route and chat about stuff going on for her at work as well as general nonsense.
I wanted to crack on today, writing up a paper I’ve been putting off, so I was pleased that I managed to settle down to it as soon as I was back and pushed on til it was time to go to the Traverse at lunchtime for this week’s Play, Pie and a Pint. It was called Anna/Annastasia and was a story of escaping unspoken trauma through creating a fantasy identity…well acted and a pleasant if undemanding hour. I can’t work out if I like coming to these things on my own or not….certainly feels like I’m the youngest person in the room which should I guess be a good thing!
Home again….definitely raining rather than spitting this time but at least I got the exercise. Once home I collected A and took her back to the infirmary where she was going to fit in another couple of hours before going home, then met up with the final tree surgeon and stood in the damp garden discussing options (again!).
Finally, back to the task….hard going by then! CR called and we talked over loads of stuff including how to attack the rest of my paper ….we talked for way too long but helpful. She’s always so clearsighted!
I finished A’s chicken soup for supper…still not a huge appetite but no bad thing really, then I carried on with the writing in the evening.
I’d hoped to finish and submit our Borneo blurb book for the 50% off offer but I just couldn’t get back to it given what else I am tackling (lots of papers to read for later this week too)….hey ho.
