Representing Queen Elizabeth II Diamond jubilee

This was carved by Paul Ellis in 2012 for the queens diamond jubilee , 
It was the first painted and guilded stone to be placed since medieval times.

I went for my flu jab today, but managed to get to the last lap of the Lincoln cathedral's mindful mile, Nice to see a friend who I knew in the RAF in the early '70s doing the mile  . He is the one that has given me the information to  research these modern carvings :-)
