Pumpkin hat

I don't have any big crochet or knitting projects on the go at the moment and my hands are idle. I found a pattern for a sweet little pumpkin hat on Ravelry and decided to use some leftovers to make one for my great nephew's first birthday. It didn't take long to put together,  particularly with a couple of hours insomniac middle of the night knitting due to covid.  The pattern was not that easy to understand but it seems to have turned out ok. It looks quite big though a quick google of baby head sizes has reassured me a bit. I did have visions of him wearing it until his teens at first.
