The Zen Camera
I have a lot of books on photography but one of my favorites is Zen Camera by David Ulrich. I am rereading it right now. "Zen is the ability to engage the process fully for its own sake, with non-attachment to the result - in the here and now." It is book of exercises on seeing with your camera that I find very useful. This is today's result. I liked it so much that I converted it to monochrome to include in my book of black and white photographs that I am complying after nearly 20 years of photographing. (In the extras) The book includes one of my favorite quotes by Dorothea Lange, "The camera is an instrument that teaches people to see without a camera." So true. (All eyes are on Hurricane Milton and Florida.)
