Busy bee

A fairly short walk this morning - it was grey and that's how I expected it to stay, but as I was coming home the sun came out for an hour or so and I saw this bee feeding from the rather ragged poppies in someone's front garden - so that gave me my blip and made me pretty happy!  In fact, it was a bit of a day for insects.  When I got back to the house I found a small white butterfly flapping about upstairs, let it out of the window and wished it well as it flew away.

The rest of the day it's me whose been the busy bee.  I've tipped all my books out of the bookshelves, dusted them and dug out some of the books I'll never read again so I have room to shelve more recent arrivals.  Satisfying but exhausting.  And with K suffering from a horrible migraine I'm now shut in the office with two naughty small dogs who refused to stop ragging around but are now sitting like little mice under the desk hoping I'll let them out.  Not likely!
