Crows Prepare
Doing what crows do...gobbling up as much BarkButter as they possibly can. Hurricane Milton's eye wall is beginning to break down.Typically when that happens the storm grows larger. Milton is expected to come on shore somewhere just south of Tampa.Tornados, spawned by the hurricane, are an increasingly serious threat. A million plus people have evacuated the area, the window to leave is rapidly closing.
Noon...the storm is now a Category 4 with sustained winds of 145 mph and quickly moving east at 17 mph. There's a trusted saying...'hide from the wind but run from the water.' A water surge of 15 ft is unsurvivable.
C and I live in Gainesville, located in North Central Florida. We expect heavy rains and tropical storm strength wind gusts. Very fortunate, to once again (hopefully) have dodged the bullet. However, inland flooding is predicted, high winds and mature trees are often a dangerous combination.
Please keep our beautiful Florida in your thoughts and prayers.
