A trip over to Berwick for a WI committee meeting this morning. About ten minutes before being picked up Northumbrian Water arrived to dig the road up outside my house…I got out just before the road was closed. When I got back at lunchtime the road was closed and the two guys working were trying to locate a water leak which they did find and fix. The road is still closed until the road repair team turn up to put everything back together again, hopefully tomorrow! Half the safety barriers have already blown over with the windy weather…it’s been a truly miserable day with both wind and rain so I’ve not ventured out this afternoon.

I think the recently built Premier Inn is the only building near the Quayside in Berwick which could be used for todays Wide Wednesday theme…luckily our meeting was held opposite in the local Youth Hostel. It replaced the Playhouse Theatre/Cinema, somewhere I’d misspent quite a large chunk of my youth! Thanks to Steveng for hosting.
