Last Day of Celebrations

It was all hands on deck this morning as we stripped beds, cleaned out the fire and generally tidied up before leaving the flat at 9am. It was raining and blowing a hoolie and the sea was a mass of white surf as far as the eye could see. We were on our way to Spey Bay to visit friends of the daughter before having lunch at Port Soy with yet another of her friends.
I really think this has been a memorable few days for Sally and I am so glad to have been party to it and met so many new people.

I would like to say that while our journey back to Edinburgh was beautiful as we went the scenic route through the Carse of Gowrie to Perth, the entry into Edinburgh must have taken about an hour as we crawled in a tail back from Barnton to Tollcross. It seemed there were red lights every 100 yds stopping what little progress we were making.
Home at last to a home I’ve hardly seen since the beginning of August .
