The Captains Meet at Midfield

Game 4 for the 8th grade Linden Eagles football team. They were playing my alma mater...the Fenton Tigers. Both teams came into the game 0-3, so something was going to give. One of the teams was going to get their first win.

It wasn't Merrick's Linden Eagles. The game was close (19-12), but our Linden Eagles had 4 turnovers, and the Tigers took advantage of them.

It's always a little nostalgic to creep on to the field where I played high school football. I didn't play a lot, but several memories always pop up. 

I was hoping Merrick's team would pull off a win, but it was not to be.
