Twisted
Had a real chilled out day today as planned.
Not too long a lie, I made sure I got up when the house was quiet so that I could take over the living room and warp my loom. I've been planning this piece since I took the shot that inspired it a week past Friday. I carded some batts on Monday and spun the fibre used in the weft (across the way) over the rest of the week. I had decided only to weave with this yarn using the striped warp for interest. I also added some lacy bits called "Leno" which I made by twisting the warp threads in pairs. I'm absolutely delighted with how it turned out, do click back to Friday 12th to see the sunrise which inspired this piece.
I'm amazed I finished it in a day but everyone was happy amusing themselves and I did make it out to do the shopping and stopped to cook and eat a nice Sunday dinner.
Very proud of Noah today, he took himself out for a 10 mile cycle, that's to the cloch lighthouse and back, twice! Poor boy has a numb bum now though.
