Snow! In Peru!

This was taken at the top of the highest part of the pass between Chivay in the Colca Canyon and Arequipa. Today we got the bus back to Arequipa and stopped for photos here!

This morning in the hotel I tried to have a shower but the water was freezing. I went downstairs to ask the man why there was no hot water but he just said that there was none - so I managed to get him to give me a bucket of hot water! This was a LOT better than a cold shower.

Today in Arequipa we went for sandwiches then to the monastery here. It was very large and nice to walk around, and I acted as tour guide. On the way back Lisa got some cheese ice cream! Tonight we get the night bus to Cusco, which won´t be a nice way to start my birthday...
