LEVENS ESTUARY, HOLKER

A very bright sunny but cold day today.  Just the sort of days that I like really.

Took Garron to Tescoes Mobile in Barrow this morning as his old mobile is only 3G which is being discontinued.  He just wanted a basic phone for calls, texts and occasional photos.  The guy in the shop was helpful, or so it seemed, until we got home, tried using it and realised we could use neither his old phone nor the new one.  I tried looking at it but I'm afraid instructions speak in gobbledegook to me these days.  Anyway Garron phoned the helpline and actually got through to a real person and it was explaind that the phone because it was he was keeping the old number but using a new SIM would take 24 hours.  He just has a pas as you go.  So we're keeping fingers crossed that by 10.00am tomorrow morning, he will be able to use his phone again.

We stopped of in Charnleys for lunch on the way home.  Very nice but rather warm in there, so I probably shouldn't have gone in as changes in temperature like that usually bring on a cold for me for some reason, but then I have the covid and flu jabs so maybe they fight anything off - fingers crossed!!!??

Stopped off at the Levens Estuary at Old Park Wood in Holker on the way home just to take this photo really.  Haven't been there for a over a year and it was my go to place during the pandemic as it is always so very quiet.

Now home, Hubby had returned from his morning works day down at Kents Bank Station and was having our gas fire serviced, so that is good.

My thoughts are currently with the people of Florida, it must be a very worrying and terrifying time for them.  Keeping everything crossed that it isn't as bad as predicted.

In extras are two more collages, this time from my day out last Thursday with CumbriaLass and Fletch.

Do take care yourselves, stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
