Wow!

We did not expect to see this tonight and of course no tripod.  I did have the camera but without the tripod I did not get much, my phone was too old, no 3 second exposure.  I borrowed husbands phone and was able to get this shot using the three second exposure.  Had I known we might see this I would have researched and been more prepared.  If it is clear tomorrow night we will head back up to Port Townsend and try again.

It has been a wonderful day, I played pickleball this morning, they were all very advanced players but were great about including me and I played hard.  In the afternoon we headed to port Townsend to listen to some live music at the winery.  We walked over to a great dinner place we like then went to the store to get groceries.  Our son text that we might be able to see the northern lights so we turned around and drove back to the most northerly view point we knew of in Port Townsend and are so glad we did, my fist time seeing this.  Oh and I also went into a nice yarn shop when we first got into town today and have yarn for a new sweater.  A very good day.
