Final Day - Aurora
We had a fantastic last full day in The Lakes.
We started the day at one of my favourite spots, Blea Tarn where we met up with John Gravett for a good catch-up while wandering round. (extras).
We met up with him again for a drink in Keswick when he mentioned there was an Aurora alert for the evening, and sure enough when P. pointed his iPhone up to the sky, there it was.
R. drove us back to Ambleside but there was very little showing there so we grabbed cameras and headed out again ending back in Keswick at the Castlerigg stone circle where we enjoyed a great display, some of which was visible to the naked eye.
This was one of the last shots I took before the cold got to me after about a hour when only the cameras could see the lights.
What a day, and what a holiday.
On to S.Wales now for the next part of the adventure!
