Bearded Iris

I don't really grow flowers at the farm apart from a few jonquils and some irises. This one has just come out.

Another snake today. This time it was far from the house on the fire trail. As we were riding out I checked any sticks lying across the road were merely sticks. On the way back I saw one about 10 metres ahead that I thought was just another I'd seen before, but then it slithered off into the bush!
