Winscar Reservoir

I went to the local bakers and then drove the Woodhead Pass into Yorkshire where the sun was shining. A walk across Winscar Dam and the moors above Dunford Bridge was chilly at first but warmed up nicely.

In the evening we did go out late (should have been earlier by all accounts) to glimpse the Northern Lights. It was just visible by eye and I took a couple of phone snaps but didn’t put any effort into using the camera + tripod+ time exposure,  perhaps it was because so many other people were out doing the same!
