Ashford in the Water

The Ashford Arms at Ashford in the Water with Lu. We both had fish and chips, disappointingly we couldn’t manage a pudding.

We had a wander around the village, beautiful, old stone cottages. The Sheepwash bridge with the River Wye running underneath.

I showed Lu the cottage where my ancestors lived, spotted a few in the churchyard too.

One of the ancestors is buried with his first wife and second wife, perish the thought of that ever happening for me :-/

We drove back via Ashbourne, beautiful scenery along the way.

It is ten years ago that our Dougie pug came to stay, our distinguished gentleman.
