Jimmy

We attended the celebration of Jimmy's life today, with many other friends and relatives.  Jimmy was a remarkable man, and was quite an athlete in his younger days, with running as his main interest; he ran the London Marathon twice, once with his wife, Myra.  After the humanist service, we all retired to the local golf club where there was a buffet and much talk and memories.  We knew many people there as we were acquainted with Jimmy and Myra for many years, and walked with them both in the UK and also in Austria. It was very emotional but also very nice to talk with his family and also with old friends not seen for some time.

Afterwards we paid Irene a quick visit as we were in the area.

We should have been to a family get together this evening for Emma's birthday but due to illness in the family it was cancelled.  However, Emma did come over, so did manage to get her present.  And we had a nice chat.
