Waiting
This morning the fog was dense. More so in the valley of Grey lynn, than along the ridge of Ponsonby Road, where Rob's Patisserie (baking since 1989) is located on the corner with Picton Street.
The building where this bakery has been for 24 years was built at that time, replacing some old Victoria era buildings with shops along the Ponsonby Road frontage on the ground floor, and apartments above. Limited to three levels, the building matches the surrounding old buildings, although the design is very different.
Rob's Patisserie is a bakery, which sells coffee, largely to take away. Although there are a couple of tables with chairs inside, and this one outside, it is not a cafe; or is it? I can't decide.
A busy bus stop is just to the right on Ponsonby Road. I'm not sure if this young woman (intent on her hand held electronic communication device) was waiting for the next bus, or for a coffee, or maybe even her young man (or woman in these modern days). I chose not to cross the road to talk to her, and thus left her blissfully unaware that she had been included in a photograph to be blipped.
