The Remains of the Day

Spent ages watching the aurora last evening, but hadn't been aware of it in advance so hadn't got the camera set up. Decided to enjoy the sight & not even go indoors to fetch my phone. Busy day today, so took S for a walk around sunset. Could see the fiery glow in the sky but couldn't get a clear view - hedges & a house in the way - until we reached this field entrance, by which time the sun had slipped down & the afterglow wasn't up to much as there weren't many clouds around. Took a quick phone shot - debated whether to post it or not - but why not?
