Broken window

This building was formerly the home of mural artist Rodney and his wife, an amazingly talented jewellery maker. Some of her works are in the Powerhouse Museum and I believe I saw a photo of Jerry Hall wearing one of her bracelets.

The couple split and the building, which was probably once a factory, was sold a couple of years ago for what was rumoured in the street to be an obscene amount of money. Finally work has commenced and the top floor is being demolished. It will probably be turned into a number of flats. 

It's good to photograph the old and the derelict before it disappears. I think the roses are Rodney's work.
